Woods Valley Ski Area was born out of a passion for the sport of skiing. Built on the site of Dopps Run, Dave Woods started Woods Valley in 1964. Using just a rope tow, a J-bar and a T-bar, the area offered skiing for the beginner, advanced and expert skier.
Dave’s creative can-do attitude still thrives at Woods Valley, and much has changed in our industry and at the mountain since 1964. Two double chairlifts, several additions to our base lodge, state-of-the-art snowmaking and grooming, extensive lighting for night skiing and riding, three terrain parks and a new Snow Tubing area have all been added to make the experience on and off the snow a great one.
